Has anyone ever asked immy to please not staple the 90 day receipt into the passport- to just let it sit there unstapled?

Over the years, valuable visa pages get mutilated and defaced by one staple after another put in and pried out for every 90 day receipt.

I wonder if they would be peeved if asked to not staple it in.

I don't know if I've ever had the receipt stapled.

Now that I'm making border bounces I have to contend with departure cards.

I once went five years on one departure card.  Now I go 90 or even only 30 days on one card. Having pages disemboweled is a concern.

The last time I entered the Kingdom, the immigration officer did not staple my departure card to my passport.

I wouldn't ask the officer to forego the staple. There are too many ambiguities waiting to happen in this scenario. Here are some humble examples:

Don't staple it to this page.
Don't staple it yet because I forgot something/made a mistake on the form.
You're using the stapler the wrong way.

I remove the staple myself to preserve the pristine nature of my passport.

They usually staple the 90 day receipt into my passport. It does damage the page a little bit but I wouldn't ask the officer not to do it. I really don't mind.
