Hi, if anyone else was concerned to see very long lines in front of all Krung Thai Bank (light blue) ATM locations today, it is not a bank run or anything else to be worried about.  I called KTB and they said that the government is making some sort of year end / new year payments to some people receiving living subsidies from the government, so the long lines are just people picking up those special payments.  ATMs may be low on cash or slow to connect as a result, but it is not a bank emergency or anything.
