I made my application in the middle of March and I'm still waiting.

Mine was sent in December last year.
And on the certficate it says thar it was issued on 16th March. So it means it took them another six weeks just to post it to me.

But to be honest, these few months of waiting felt like nothing compared to the previous eight years I had been looking forward to attaining it.

It's been almost 5 years since I felt the elation after overcoming the many obstacles & also the relief that I'd never have the waiver monkey on my back again...

It seemed like an eternity to me when I waited for the TCT TKT test results so many years ago. Those were two years of non-stop anxiety.

For me it took EIGHT years to get it!
Starting in 2010, I've been working for the same employer throughout these years.

During my first two years, I did the Thai culture and language course at Suan Dusit University. Based on that I received my second waiver.

In 2013 or 14 I took the Professional Knowledge Tests in Chiang Mai. That was the time I joined the good old thailandteaching.asia, and got to know most of you, guys, senior members. I could pass only Test #1 out of the 4. But based on that I could get my third waiver.

In 2016 I registered for the Saint Robert's / Ifugao DipTEd. course, so that and the fact that I was still working at the same school gave me my fourth waiver.

And now we are in 2018. I finally got it!

I understand your feelings and am happy for you. I've just heard that it might continue with the school, but one or two weeks after the school starts. On July, the 8th I can go to Khurusapha and apply for it.

Then a few months later, I might be lucky and receive the damn card. Will your upgrade have any financial advantages?

I finally received my teaching license.  

My story began August 2016, I've made an application to join St. Robert's ( Ifugao) in Korat.
The first class began September 2016.
My last class was April 2017.
The graduation ceremony was August 2017 (not 100% sure, because I didn't attend)
I received notice in December 2017 that my diploma has arrived in Bangkok at St. Roberts.      ( They insisted that you come in person to collect it.

On March 20 2018, I go and collect my diploma and then that afternoon, I went to the T.C.T. and make my application for the teaching license.

On May 18 2018, My school gives me the gold card.

I will admit it was a nice hotel which hosted the classes. Every Saturday night my family and I would arrive at the hotel and Sunday morning have a large breakfast. The family then would go to the shopping center across the street while I had to attend class.

Where did you sit in the class? I remember that term being about 25% natives and the rest Filipinos.
