Lampang is roughly 100km from Chiang Mai and has maintained a lot of the old fashioned charm of the North. There is a healthy expat community, with plenty of restaurants to try. o traffic jams and pretty much is everything is a 5 minute motorbike drive away. Close enough to Chiang Mai if you miss what it offers.
This job would really suit someone who is a little adventurous and wants to step out of the hectic life of Chiang Mai. I came for a day and I'm here nearly 20 years later.
