Hi, I haven't bought a motorcycle for more than 15 years, but one day my baby will stop running. When that happens, I will need to replace it quickly. 15 years ago the bike needed to be registered in a Thai person's name. Has that changed? Can an unmarried non-Thai with no house (no house registration) register a new motorcycle with only a work visa and work permit? Thanks for any info.

It's been a very long time, but in Chiang Mai, with a non-im visa, I think I went to some office and filled out an affidavit that I wasn't full of bullshit and then got a certificate of residency.
