I fell foul of 3 of the requirements although I got a 'jobsworth' bitch processing my application during February of this year.

1. Need to have your degree certified by your embassy then by MFA. This was enforced a couple of years ago but only this year in BKK.

2. I filled out form TM86 for converting from a TR visa but she made me fill out TM87 for converting from a 30 day exemption.

3. Photo was not recent enough so had to retake, 100B for 4 @ the copy shop on the ground floor; maybe I've aged a lot over the last year.

At times like this I'm glad that I've crossed the finish line and am retired.

I'm even happier to be able to obtain non-im visas at will.

For what it's worth, I recently had to pay 150 baht for four photos of which I needed two. I was applying for a Chinese transit visa. I was wearing a white shirt in the photos I'd brought with me and that was a no-no. This was even more aggravating because had I chosen a direct flight or one that connected in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, or even Malaysia or Singapore, I wouldn't have needed a 5,000 baht Chinese visa just to make a connecting flight.
